Good music comes from more than the right equipment. It comes from the people, the environment and the freedom to explore an idea until it becomes something worth sharing.

02 / THE EXPERIENCE
Your music. Your vision.
Our room.
No two artists work the same wat, and no two projects should be treated the same.
At Backpost the process is built around the artist. Whether you arrive with a finished song or an idea that still needs some work, Nick takes a collaborative, hands-on approach to finding what each project needs.
Some sessions are about capturing a great performance. Others are about experimenting, reworking an arrangement or finding the missing piece that brings everything together.
The goal is to create an environment where artists feel comfortable enough to take creative risks, work through challenges and make music they genuinely feel proud of.

03/ NICK FETCHISON

Engineer. Producer. Musician.
Nick Fetchison has spent most of his life making music and more than a decade helping other people make theirs.
His relationship with music started at eight years old. By sixteen, he was touring as a musician, and by twenty-four his focus had expanded into recording, engineering and productions. A President's Honour Roll graduate og the MIA (Music Industry Arts) Program, Nick holds a diploma in audip engineering and previous served as Head Engineer at EMAC Recording Studips, one of Canada's renowned recording facilities.
His experince spans independent artists, established musicians, and major entertainment and commercial productions. He's also shared his knowledge through guest lectures, giving back to the next generation of audip professionals.
Known for his collaborative approach and ability to help artists feel comfortable and focused, Nick thrives in creative and high-pressure environments. The Studip Viking is a nickname given to him by clients. It stuck.
Elegant Title

Backpost calls Bellevue home, nestled among the peaks and open skies of Crowsnest Pass.
A little removed from the noise and surrounded by landscape that inspires a different kind of pace, it's a place for deepeer work, clearer thinking and creative freedom.
For travelling artists and bands, the Pass offers a change to step away from the demands of everyday life and focus on the music. For local artists, it's an opportunity to make professional recordings without leaving the mountains behind.
